We are excited to announce the continued growth of Big Fish Games and expansion recruitment for the Cork-based facility. Recruitment is now underway for strong talent focused on localisation, translation and testing. We are looking for people who are interested in contributing to a fun, quality focused, high performance team.
As a Dutch or German or French or German or French Localisation Translator, you will be responsible for working directly with the Dutch or German or French Site Coordinator in a rapidly changing environment to ensure the quality of a large volume of new PC titles for the launch of our new Dutch or German or French web portal. You are responsible for editing and proofing game content, ensuring game content adheres to house style and guidelines. You excel at handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment - all with the goal of furthering the company's international growth and success. Additionally, you share a deep interest in languages and Big Fish Games products; you love to take on new challenges and are eager to join an agile, fun, and culturally diverse team that's on the forefront of casual games.
Role/Opportunity
Translate a variety of texts for Big Fish Dutch or German or French Portal
Work with Site Coordinator to make recommendations for site improvements
Handle additional projects for Site Coordinator as needed
Coordinate and streamline communications between Game Operations and Customer Support
Work under pressure to translate 2000 words per day
Skills/Experience
This is an excellent opportunity for some one who has a genuine interest in the technical aspects of the on-line gaming industry whilst contributing to a fun, quality focused and high performing team. The role requires the following experience:
Translation qualification preferred
Must be fluent in English and Dutch or German or French with Dutch or German or French to English and English to Dutch or German or French translation experience
Exceptional problem-solving skills including demonstrated ability to think laterally when resolving technical glitches that arise in the translation process
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Understanding of Photoshop, Excel, and basic HTML a plus
Relocation will be offered to candidates relocating from outside of Ireland
