Based in Oracle’s Dublin office, reporting to EMEA Tax Compliance Director, the EMEA Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for the tax accounts reconciliation and quarterly tax provision for the EMEA Region. This incorporates preparation of annual reconciliation of the current and deferred tax, consolidation of the region quarterly provision, preparation of Transfer Pricing reporting analysis for Directors review.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepare the tax balance sheet for all EMEA entities insuring the correct categorization of the deferred tax and reconciliation of the current payable and withholding tax.
* Maintain a close relationship with the finance team, providing explanation and support on tax accounting issues as well as obtain accounting information and backup for position taken on the Return.
* Prepare region wide reports on Transfer Pricing, Intercompany withholding tax cross charges, royalty calculation and ad hoc accounts analysis.
* Support the tax audit and tax planning team, when required, to validate positions taken on tax return and transfer pricing calculation
* Consolidate tax provision for EMEA and work with the head of compliance to analyze the region effective tax rate
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Qualified taxation professional and / or has a relevant accounting qualification
* Minimum 3-4 years post qualification experience, ideally in a technology organisation
* Strong working knowledge in the areas of technical accounting, auditing & taxation
* Knowledge Excel at expert level
* Good knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications
* Dynamic, innovative & problem resolution focused
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to be self-driven and identify opportunities for improvements
