Our client is a global leader in the online games industry, producing and delivering some of the world’s best games and game experiences. They develop and publish the industry’s leading brands for computers, mobile devices and consoles.
They are experiencing a steady growth of their Ireland-based facility and they are currently looking to strengthen their localisation, translation and testing teams. We are looking for people who are interested in contributing to a fun, quality focused, high performance team.
As a Linguistic Game Tester, you will be responsible for working directly with the Localisation Translators and the Site Coordinator in a rapidly changing environment to ensure the linguistic quality of a large volume of new PC titles for the company's Dutch, Danish or Swedish web portal. We are looking for someone who shares a deep interest in languages and games. What you’ll be doing:
· Work in a fun, fast paced environment
· Perform language editing and localization testing on a variety of games
Qualifications
·Associates degree required, and Bachelor’s in Business or language/linguistic field degree preferred
·Fluency in English and Danish or Dutch or Swedish (Native Tongue strongly preferred)
·6 months to 1 year game testing experience
·Ability to maintain multiple projects at once with short release cycles
·Basic understanding of the development cycle of a game project
·Basic knowledge of the casual games market
·Strong customer orientation, both internally and externally
·Strong communication skills
·Must be able to work independently at times
·Excellent computer skills and MS Office knowledge
·Team player
·Positive attitude
