The role: Geo Operations Program Manager, Analytics
Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus. As a Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.
Google?s Geo products play a prominent role in Google and include highly popular products such as Google Maps, Google Earth, Local, Street-View, Sketch-up, Transit, Traffic etc. The Dublin based Geo Operations team manages an operation to enable Google Geo Product teams create and manage Geo Content for some of the above products and is critical to meeting Google?s content goals. As Geo Operations Program Manager for Analytics you should be a strong leader who can manage complex analysis and modeling. You will work closely with Engineering and Product teams to track operations performance and impacts. You will also work cross-functionally to drive efficiencies and tracking of performance and are responsible for reporting on these. This role requires a highly analytical individual with strong execution skills who is an entrepreneurial self-starter. You should have a proven track record in performing rigorous data driven analysis, developing complex data models and translating data into initiatives to drive operation performance. You will need to be a good problem solver with an ability to work with ambiguity, making sound decisions to deliver results.
Responsibilities:

* Work cross functionally to put in place appropriate tracking and reporting of operations metrics across projects.
* Lead end-to-end design, build-out and implementation of operational reporting and use these reports and insight to drive efficiency across projects.
* Increase effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities for development and proactively creating new systems and structures. Work with operations and engineering to develop and define new or improved tools.
* Develop comprehensive performance analysis of Global operation putting in place data models and analytics that provide platform for strategic decision making.
* Take a lead role in global processes for budget and forecast management, including coordinating project prioritization, regional headcount and performing budget vs. actual analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

* BS/BA degree. In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Project Management experience ? ability to define projects and execute within timelines and with multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to deliver projects on time and to budget.
* Demonstrable Excel and modeling skills together with SQL competence.
* Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally and cross-geography with all levels of management within Google and have exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
* Team player with exceptional interpersonal and solution oriented attitude.
* Self starter with ability to effectively operate effectively in a fast paced, constantly evolving team environment.
