Our client is aLarge Multinational IT Company based in Cork and is looking a Nordic Accountant (Swedish.
You will be responsible for a variety of accounting activities for the Retail Nordic region in the GFSS in Cork.
Responsibilities
• Act as a contact point between GFSS Finance and the Retail Nordic region.
• Responsible for executing and coordinating Retail Nordic activities and providing support to the region.
• Liaise with other Regional Leads to ensure that consistent processes are applied across all regions and that there is consistent treatment of corporate finance policies
• Responsible for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for the Retail Nordic accounting functions
• Ensure that month end close timetable is followed by accounting functions supporting the regional close.
• Liaison with External Advisors,
• Internal co-ordination with the Intercompany and VAT Compliance teams, the Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialists
• Responsibility for tax filings within the Retail Nordic Region
• Responsibility for accounting activities, including:
• Production of Retail Nordic Statutory Accounts and tax returns
• IS and BS integrity, including full periodic BS reviews
• Review of statements with Central and Local management
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Journal voucher preparation and posting.
• Ensuring excellent control environment.
• Being involved and working in Retail Nordic projects as they arise.
• Develop with the role to expand responsibilities within the GFSS organization
Requirements
• Qualified Accountant with appropriate Swedish GAAP
• Fluent in Swedish and English
• 3 - 5 Years post qualification experience
• Excellent communicator.
• Team player with individual initiative.
