For our client, a global leader in business communications systems based in Ireland, we are currently looking for a German Speaking Procurement Manager to join their Galway team.
The Role:
•Full responsibility for the Commodity Management process
•Responsibility for driving cost reductions to meet corporate targets
•Cooperation with business unit leadership
•Manage contracts and databases
•Responsibility for new contract development
•Develops policies and procedures for the operation of procurement activities
•Monitors the cost, schedule and performance aspects of major sub-contracts
•Coordinates purchasing activities with all functional owners
•Report accomplishments and communicate initiatives and other issues to leadership
The Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•5 – 8 years experience in a similar role
•IT systems knowledge in SAP, Ariba and MS Office
•Fluency in English and German is essential
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
•Team player
•Ability to work independently, to initiate savings strategies and to close tasks, projects and programs efficiently
•Based in Galway, Ireland
